Advanced Technologies for Smart Windows.

The University of Kassel (UKA) founded as a new university in 1971. More than 60 professors and their scientific employees work on environmental questions within departments, interdisciplinary research centres and institutes. With the formation of the Institute of Nanostructure Technologies and Analytics (INA) and the Center for Interdisciplinary Nanostructure Science and Technology (CINSaT) an important focal point on micro- and nanotechnologies has been established.

UKA-INA performs process development on micro mirror arrays and UKA-CESR carries out a life cycle assessment (LCA) on the new window technology.
